Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. AgriParity is free to use on the web and as an Android app. It is a utility for agri commodity traders, brokers, and crushers.
Why does a number differ from what my broker quotes?
Usually because of a different FX rate, a different bag/maund size, a different standard spec, or a different deduction schedule. Every calculator shows the full chain and every reference value is editable — match the inputs to your contract and the numbers will agree.
How accurate are the standard specs?
Standard specs are common Indian trade-standard defaults. Treat them as a starting point and verify against your own contract before pricing a lot. The crush yields and quality standards are all editable.
Does it remember my inputs?
Yes. Each calculator saves its last inputs on your device (localStorage). A timestamp is shown; anything older than ~12 hours is flagged so you do not quote off a stale FX rate. The website and the Android app store separately, so values do not carry across the two.
Can I save quality profiles?
Yes, in the Quality Parity calculator. Save named profiles (for example "My OTC" or "Export Contract"), switch between them, and export/import them as JSON so a cache clear never loses them.
Does it work offline?
Yes. It is an installable app (PWA). After the first visit it runs without a connection — useful at a mandi with poor signal.
Is this trading advice?
No. AgriParity is a calculation aid only. It does not provide prices, recommendations, or trading advice. You are responsible for verifying every input against your own contract.
